My new favorite

I came across Pretzel Bites and thought that they would be a fun snack to try. I made them for my piano students today and they were a hit! I highly recommend this yummy and easy treat! The link is so detailed I won't even bother messing with directions. I did use the regular Rhodes Roll dough rather than the Texas size, because that's what I had. Both the Parmesan and cinnamon were divine. Enjoy!

College Cravings

Quesedillas, Mac & Cheese w/peas, Rolo Cookies, Blast O' Butter Popcorn, carmel popcorn, chicken enchiladas, turkey burgers, cold cereal, breadsticks, and many more.
Guaranteed to give you your Freshman 15!
These are some of the foods I remember from college. Either my roommates or I ate and lived off them. They sustained us through tests and breakups, snow and more snow, long walks and basketball games. Wasn't college great?! Funny how these foods remind me of the those days not so long ago. What were some of your college foods?

Results

Results from my previous poll are in. Walk away: 2 (13%)
                                                        Punch: 8  (53%)
                                                        Call police: 0
                                                        Other: 5 (33%)
Well, basically take my scenario and that is the story- only insert Val. Mr. Nice Guy had a brain cramp and defended himself by punching the old man in the jaw. Nice, I know.
We had pulled up to the place we were going to stay in Moab to find out where we needed to be. During that time the old cuss parked behind us in the drive instead of going around. He was so upset and let it be known until Val put him in his place (punch in the face). The neighbors that witnessed it later came out and gave Val handshakes and high fives!
Thanks for voting. I'm really curious to those that voted Other. There honestly was nothing else to do, the man wouldn't be reasoned with. The police were there for about 3 hours. We haven't heard anything since. Hopefully the old man will think before letting his tongue loose again. Especially in front of a woman.

Poll

So, I have had this poll on the right for 3 weeks now and no one has voted! Let me give you the scenario. You and your husband (I'm saying husband because most readers here are probably women) are out when someone starts yelling choice words. Husband: "Please don't use that kind of language in front of my wife." Man continues getting louder with every phrase. Husband: "Hey, there are women present, DON'T USE THAT KIND OF LANGUAGE!"  Man being of an older generation gets inches from husband's face and yells those two naughty words. Now you can vote.

If someone does vote, maybe I will tell what Val did...if you don't already know.

April

Wow, this month has flown by! We sure have enjoyed some nicer weather.
Grandma's funeral was nice, sadly we are off for Cherie's tomorrow.
It was my dad's birthday!
And mine...Val made the cake!

I love springtime!

Great Grandma Layne

My great-grandmother passed away this week. She was 94 years old, and LOVED her family. She always wanted updated pictures of the kids, and a telephone call would brighten her day. I remember her beautiful yard, and large garden. I know I got my love of flowers from her. She amazed me with her family history work, and she made hats for humanitarian up until she passed. She also had a love for missionary work, and helped support many family missionaries. Jack and Bella were her 1st and 2nd g-g grandchildren. I will miss her, but I know she has wanted to be with her husband for some time now.

Moab or Bust...well, maybe both

Moab was awesome what more can I say?! It was my first vacation with no kids! The first day was the most eventful.: Faren busted his foot, Val had a run in with a crazy neighbor resulting in several hours with the local deputy, and changing our location. (Note: Don't ever stay in a hostel unless you know what you're in for. When they say $9 a bed, expect the worst.)
We saw many sites, rode many trails, and had a great time. We hit Arches National Park, which is quite small, but definitely named appropriately, this was Balanced Rock.
This is one of my favorite pics. I think they should use it as a post card.
The trail behind is what Myrn saw and said "see-ya later".
I really can't believe the trails I rode on the 4-wheeler.
It was harder than anything I've ever ridden. Go me!
This was the view on Top of the World trail.
Wow! What a great place to visit. The sights along the trails were unbelievable!
It snowed on us this day. Bbbbrrrr!!!!
I hope we can do this again. I had so much fun!
