This little beauty will not leave a headband on anymore!
So, I tried a curler for the first time...

Not as cute as the flower,
but I am excited to be able to do a little more with that flyaway hair.

Missing pics

Val found my missing SD card. YEAH! Here are a few happenings that I wanted to post.

Went canoeing by St. Anthony on a cold day. My mom is not the best swimmer...
hence the life jacket. Stylin'!

By brother Justin (who is serving a mission in India) sent a package with some native goods.
This is Jack in his hat. I got a Muslim dress which will probably be my Halloween costume.

Last month we caught a day at the fair. Val and I both rode the Fireball, and Jack rode the carousel.

The boys on this very large Percheron. Roy is 5'10" to give you an idea.
I think that the humongous horses and the 1 ride we went on were the best parts of the fair for me.
Oh, I guess I did enjoy the food, too. YUM! Afterward I wanted to ban fried foods for a month!

Its always fun when family is around. We love Grandpa Eddins!

I love to think of that great day, the weather was perfect, no rush, good food, and lots of dancing.
Time has flown by with two kids, two businesses, and lots of fun.
What more is there to say than
I love you!

Val's Big Day

This is what Val got to do for his birthday.

I'm sure this is what he would have rather, if it were warm.

He is a great dad, works hard, and plays hard.

He loves a good adventure (soapboxing & kiteboarding to name a few)
and doing things with the family.
Best of all...
he is the light of my life.
I love you, Val!

6 months old

This little darling is 6 months old today. Where did the time go?!

She looks so little in the high-chair,
gags on her cereal,
gets mad when I walk by and don't pick her up,
can stand up to things,
and crawls!

Her favorite place to play is under the desk.
Jack calls her "Bya" because he can't say his L's
She has two very sharp teeth
I have spent many nights sleeping in the recliner, ugh.
The ladies at the grocery love her sweet smile

She's a keeper!

Fall Frenzy

Jack and "Gampa John" playin'on the trampoline
We are slowing down now that fall is here, but it also brings other things to keep us busy. I have procrastinated many projects that may have to be added to "Next Year" list, and trying to get to the have-to's. Val is in harvest running the cross-over (Idahoan for a tractor that digs spuds, oh-I mean potatoes).

This was our campout with the Eddins before school started. What a silly family!

Kids with their edible playdough.

Bella bundled because it was FREEZING!
It was a busy summer, but lots of fun! I can't believe that it has turned cold again already.
We had a lot of fun at the fair, but I can't seem to find the memory card with those pics.
Happy Fall!

"Pooh" Bear Lake

If you were to ask Jack, he would tell you that he had fun playing in the sand at "Pooh" Bear Lake.
Bella was a trooper and only tasted the sand a few times.
Trevor and Alesha came along to originally go kite boarding, but I think the wind went on vacation too.
So, instead we played on the beach and went swimming (duh), played frisbee golf and cards.
Mike and Kimberly joined us for some fun.
This was our home base, gotta love that camper!
On the way home we searched out Steamboat Springs. Here are the boys testing their surroundings.
Well, there you have it. After finding it safe, they jumped right in.
The bubbles made it impossible to sink.
Val just informed me that there is wind now, so I guess we are off to the lake... again.

Hoboes

The Union Pacific came to town (actually it goes through about 20 times a day) but this time they had passenger cars for the public to ride.

Our niece Indee went with us. We rode in the bubble top part of this car.
It was a fun adventure. A little hot chocolate and singing would have been better for the 3 hour ride. It was only suppose to be one hour, but with all of the freight trains going through we had to wait alot. Oh well.

This story goes with the title. A few days ago Val was watching Arachniphobia. I have a horrible fear of spiders!!! I have my spider stomper shoes at the bottom of my stairs for whenever I am down in the basement, and have to check any shoes before putting them on. Anyway, I tried to ignore the show and even make him turn it off, but I caught a glimpse once in a while and I'm still uneasy. The next night I found a hobo spider next to the washer. I tried to stomp on it, but as I lifted my foot it ran away. Time for a different pair of stomping shoes. Don't worry, I caught him in the sticky trap. Now its time to bug bomb the basement. YUCK!

This little critter would not stay out of my yard no matter how many times I tried to scare him away or throw him over the fence. I like cats, but if they are not mine I don't want them around to mess up my yard. Solution:
Unleash the Skiff Dog
What a pal
The cat ran up the tree, so we left him there for a while to think things through- sort of a time out I guess...
hasn't been back since

Just keep swimming...

Summer is a time where we spend a lot of time in, on, or around the water. We have had several fun boating days on Alexander Reservoir and a swim day at Lava Hot Springs.

These are all of the Eddins grandkids at Lava

We had a fun week with everyone here, and finished things off with a cruise on the pontoon boat.
Thanks everyone!

King of Pop

Not what you expected?
Val is one of the biggest pop drinkers I know. A while back I told him I would start exercising if he would quit drinking pop. I did this mainly because I thought it wasn't possible, and to get him off caffeine. Well, he did it...and where am I? Sitting in the recliner feeding the baby! Thank goodness for all those caffeine free pops that are out now!

"Potty on dude!"

I guess the monkey had to go too!
If anyone has experience with little boys, please let me know what works!

Birthdays

We celebrated two birthdays in the family on Saturday with the Eddins clan.
Jack turned 2 on Friday and Myrn's is on Thursday.
Myrna got a new moniter for her computer Jack blew out his candle with a straw, got lots of fun presents, and
a new bike to ride. Thanks everyone!
He threw a fit when we tried to put it in the trunk to come home.
Idaho Falls to Bancroft would be quite the ride on a tricycle!

We braved the rain and went to the zoo. I have been wanting to take Jack for a while.

We will definately have to go again when the weather is better. And, when Jack doesn't have a wagon to distract him from the animals. Thats all he was interested in was pulling the wagon.

Happy Birthday !!!
