What a weekend!

Certificate of Death
Name: Cat Doe
Date of birth: 4/11/2005
Date of death: 2/27/2009
Place of death: Lund Rd. Northbound
Cause of death: A white Buick Century
Last known address: The old milking shed

We had quite the eventful weekend, most of which I am sad to say was not good. One event being that Faren hit a cat with our car and shattered the bumper. Here's the run down:

  • We headed to Pocatello for State Wrestling ready for some fun.
  • I got stranded at the motel (no pool) with no car.
  • Saturday morning my brother calls to inform me that a friend I grew up with in our ward had taken her life.
  • I got to meet up with my friend Sarah and kids at the mall.
  • Found an outfit to bring baby home from the hospital.
  • Sunday morning woke up to a basement full of water.

The house feels like it is in shambles, but we are very lucky we caught the mess when we did. Everyone is well, and we are planning to have this baby on the 25th! One thing at a time I guess.

Val's new work toy. A must have for our business.

I'm sure he'll have it out spinning cookies in no time at all.

Party on...

We had a fun time at our little dance party. Val had been wanting to do this for a while so we gathered some friends at the School House and let the kids loose. Jack is going the wrong way in this Limbo game.

Saturday the kids went sledding in Ashton at the Hawkes' cabin.
Jack has been into coloring lately, and can even name some of the colors!
Be sure to check out my name poll on the side. I might need a few more suggestions.
This baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule!

The countdown begins...

O.K. so, when things get this close its a good idea to keep track of how many weeks I have left in this pregnancy. I haven't been very good at keeping track. I am at 33 weeks, only 7 more to go. The heartburn is blazing, and all the tiredness and aches to go along have moved in uninvited. Oh, and Mindy picked out my new haircut.
Jack helped make dinner tonight. He enjoyed stirring that pancake batter a little too much!

Val thinks that I need to exercise more to keep from getting so tired and achy. I say following this kid around all day takes more than enough energy.
Jack has become self-sufficient. He can feed, clothe, and entertain himself. He pushes his bike around so he can stand on it to get into drawers, or reach something on the counter.

He loves both "gammas" and "papas"! This is how my parents entertained him one night.

A New Year

I can't believe it is 2009! Jack is now 19 months old, and we will be having a baby in about 3 months! We got to visit with a lot of family over the holidays, and had great fun. Thanks everyone!

Jack was pleased with his truck and blocks for Christmas. He liked helping everyone open their gifts.
I thought Val would enjoy something to play on those long bus rides to wrestling tournaments.

Jordan and grandpa swinging Jack in a blanket. He loved it!

Give Thanks

We had a great Thanksgiving, other than a few of us got sick.
The kids went swimming and had lots of fun.
My brother had his "farewell" followed by more great food.

Jack loved the annual lighting of the square. He walked all around oohing, and aahing at the lights. This is him in his snowsuit and Val's kayaking helmet-for motorbike rides.

This year I got asked to be a part of the Ornament Club. There are 12 ladies who make 12 ornaments, then have a dinner party to exchange their cute creations. This was my contribution.
There is so much to be thankful for even after Thanksgiving!
