Give Thanks

We had a great Thanksgiving, other than a few of us got sick.
The kids went swimming and had lots of fun.
My brother had his "farewell" followed by more great food.

Jack loved the annual lighting of the square. He walked all around oohing, and aahing at the lights. This is him in his snowsuit and Val's kayaking helmet-for motorbike rides.

This year I got asked to be a part of the Ornament Club. There are 12 ladies who make 12 ornaments, then have a dinner party to exchange their cute creations. This was my contribution.
There is so much to be thankful for even after Thanksgiving!

We've been busy...

I feel like we have been gone alot. We pick up trailers from the galvanizers in West Jordan, and head back to Salt Lake days later for a wedding.

We have wondered who to set Val's best mission buddy -Micah-up with, but looks like he got the job done by himself.
The next day we spent in the Rexburg temple. Val's family did a bunch of baptisms, and my brother went through before leaving on his mission. It was also my mom's birthday. As for Jack, he has been loving his make-shift slide and bike ramp. He's only 1! I can't imagine what 2 will bring. Other than his little sister...

Talk about busy!

Crazy Call

My bro got a call from his stake pres. this week saying that his mission call had been changed!
Instead of going to Bangalore he's headed to New Delhi, India.
He now leaves Dec. 17th.
This is in the area of the Tajmahal, and some awesome wildlife preserves.
Cool, huh?!

Jack in the Box

I wish I would have gotten a pic of the three of us together. We went to the school carnival, and of course, Val does something extravagant. He took his dad's stilts and went as a 9 ft. basketball player. If you could only imagine...He was gone on Halloween for a football game.Jack, well... he has an unlimited source of "Jacks" to choose from for many years to come.
I'm still hearing about how cute he was.
As for me, I don't think anyone knew who I was with the dark hair.

Trick-or-Treating with the Carey boys.
Jack was great and said "thank-you" at each door.
What a little smarty pants!

Must try...

I like how people post recipes once in a while. To me, it means that it has been tried, and must be really good. So, here is one we had in Bozeman that is super easy and very yummy!

Jane's Chicken & Rice Bake
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 C. sour cream
1 small can of green chilis
1 c. rice (uncooked)
Mix together and spread into 9 x 13 pan (sprayed with Pam)
Top with 3-4 frozen whole chicken breasts.
Cover. Bake at 350 for 2 hours.
Take cover off the last fifteen minutes and spread with shredded cheese

Black Dog Fabricating

The first load of trailers have been delivered! After welding, galvanizing in Salt Lake, and much travel, we finally delivered to Bozeman.
We spent a few days visiting in Montana. Jack loved playing at Ryann and Silas' house. It has been an adventure starting this new business, and hope things will work well.
